FUNCTIONALITY

Picture Sets

Often, collections will consist of many relatively small groups of pictures, each focused on a specific subject. For example pictures of a particular fashion shoot, or a product pictured from multiple angles. To handle this efficiently, Picture Pack features a module which allows you to group these pictures into picture sets, each with a common title, description and keywords. These picture sets are searchable, and results can be displayed alongside the regular thumbnail results.

online link to payment service providers

Online payments are usually carried out securely by payment service providers. The Picture Pack payment module enables a quick and safe way of processing your payments by payment providers such as Bibit, Ogone, Triple Deal and WorldPay.

planning and requesting photo assignments

If you regularly have photo assignments for internal and external photographers, you will be able to use the Picture Pack production module to create, plan and authorise assignments. Photographers can supply one or several photos per assignment. At all times you will have a clear overview of the assignments and corresponding images. Because each organisation has its own work procedures, this module is usually customised, using the default functionality as a sound basis.

sending monthly mailings or daily photo messages

The mailing module allows you to send images and text in a pre-defined layout using your mailing lists. This allows you to promote new collections or send new photos on a daily basis.

exporting financial data

Although Picture Pack is a comprehensive application, it does not have the same functionality as large financial accounting software. Naturally all invoice and customer details can be exported to a financial system. Usually this will take place once a night, or alternatively this can be done in real time.

importing metadata

Apart from importing metadata stored in an image, it often happens that metadata is supplied by external suppliers or systems in a particular file format. The advanced metadata import server can read these files and link the metadata to the images that are present in the image bank. This can be a once-only action, but generally this type of action would be carried out a number of times a day.

real time link with external image providers

Picture Pack offers a completely integrated link to external image providers such as Alamy, Fotolia, Imago, Panthermedia, Photos12 and Diomedia. Or, closer to home, a link to your product data in your own organisation.

payment of photographers

For commercial use Picture Pack includes a standard payment report for photographers/photo agencies (sources). The financial agreements can be recorded per source. It is possible to include the deduction module if you are (partially) financing the photographer's production. Please contact us for further details about this option.

various pricing systems

These range from completely 'free' to a price per resolution, or a price matrix. Picture Pack has a large number of systems for saving or calculating prices. We are happy to advise you on what pricing system to choose and if necessary to provide a customised pricing system that meets all your requirements.

Extra security

This is perhaps the most important module in Picture Pack: who is allowed to view and/or download which images. For example, images for the press can be made accessible to everyone, but images for your communications department can be made available only to your communication staff. Alternatively, copyright-free images can be made permanently downloadable for specified end users.

Link to Active Directory on your network. In addition to the usual access to the image bank using a username and password, Picture Pack can also use the usernames and groups on your network.
