As a collection manager you may wish to play an active role in offering images to your clients. For that, lightboxes are the perfect vehicle. Lightboxes enable you to send sets of preselected images to the personal pages of any of your clients. This will save your customer valuable time. From lightboxes clients can simply select, order and download images.
If you regularly have photo assignments for internal and external photographers, you will be able to use the Picture Pack production module to create, plan and authorise assignments. Photographers can supply one or several photos per assignment. At all times you will have a clear overview of the assignments and corresponding images. Because each organisation has its own work procedures, this module is usually customised, using the default functionality as a sound basis.
This is perhaps the most important module in Picture Pack: who is allowed to view and/or download which images. For example, images for the press can be made accessible to everyone, but images for your communications department can be made available only to your communication staff. Alternatively, copyright-free images can be made permanently downloadable for specified end users.
Link to Active Directory on your network. In addition to the usual access to the image bank using a username and password, Picture Pack can also use the usernames and groups on your network.
Often a collection will contain many small sets of closely related images - essentially covering the same subject. Think of for instance, pictures from a fashion shoot or images showing different angles of the same product. To handle these mini-sets well, Picture Pack offers a Picture Sets module. With this you can group images around the same title, description and keywords. In your FrontOffice, Picture Sets will be presented as seperate entities next to regular search results.
The mailing module allows you to send images and text in a pre-defined layout using your mailing lists. This allows you to promote new collections or send new photos on a daily basis.
Picture Pack can handle video as well. The video module will store specifically video related information (like for instance frame rate). Videos can be previewed in-browser in sizes small and preview.
If you are managing seperate collections for major clients, the Identities module (especially when combined with Exclusive Picture Groups) will facilitate this well. With this module in place, Picture Pack will allow you to present your FrontOffice in accordance with the corporate style of any of these clients.
Picture Pack fully supports multiple languages. This applies to the interface languages as well as the languages used for metadata (or a combination of these).
